Local Partnership announces plans to develop Distinctive new Retirement Residence

Set amidst the rolling hills of RobinBrooke farms, RobinBrooke project looks to Redefine Senior Living by offering a broad range of amenities and services designed exclusively for area Seniors.

Dr. Bob Robbins, a prominent local Physician, along with his partnership group today announced plans to develop his RobinBrooke farms land into an exclusive new community for seniors seeking Independent, Assisted and Memory Care services. Dr. Robbins announced the community will be named RobinBrooke Senior Living and will be located at 201 Harmony Way just off RobinBrooke Blvd. near the intersection of Ring Rd and Patriot Parkway between Severns Valley Baptist Church and the newly built St. James Catholic School.

“Our team has been working for quite some time to make this project a reality and I’m so excited to announce we’re ready to proceed with construction and offer a much needed option for Retirement Living in the region,” said Dr. Robbins.

“I’ve long thought this farm was a superb location for a retirement community with its rolling hills and beautiful scenery along with its proximity to shopping centers, health providers and other local amenities.” Robbins went on to say, “RobinBrooke will offer outstanding services and amenities to our residents and connectivity (via senior-friendly walking paths) to our neighborhood Churches and the new Senior Park being developed nearby. This will truly redefine senior living in the area.”

The partnership team consists of Dr. Robbins, local developer H. Wayne Smith, and Louisville-based senior living operator Arcadia Communities. H. Wayne Smith Construction has begun construction on the 60,000 sf community which includes 60 spacious Studio, 1 and 2 BR accommodations. Smith said the team’s goal is to “create an environment where residents are encouraged to live active, fun, and fulfilling lives and enjoy the comfort, convenience, and care services offered at RobinBrooke.” Smith went on to say, “The community will include features that address the interests and lifestyle of our residents including a fitness center, library, baking kitchen, art studio, theatre, happy hour and internet lounge, rose- garden terrace, restaurant style dining room, as well as a private dining room for special occasions with friends and family.” Residents will also enjoy the convenience of housekeeping and laundry services, transportation services, 24-hour staffing, an emergency call system, coordinated social and recreational programs, as well as assistance with care needs under the direction of a licensed nurse. The community will feature a secure memory care neighborhood for residents needing additional support.

Arcadia Communities, a Louisville-based owner/operator of Senior Living Communities will be the managing partner on the project. “We are excited to be partnering with Dr. Robbins and his team on this beautiful project,” said Brian Durbin, Arcadia’s President. “We feel customers looking for quality senior housing will really appreciate the warm and tasteful environment, straight forward inclusive pricing plans, and individualized care intended to maximize each resident’s independence. We anticipate opening the community in the early Summer of 2015 and will hire 30 to 40 employees to operate the community. We will begin recruiting an Executive Director and Community Relations Director within the next 60 days.

“Interested candidates can visit our website at www.RobinBrooke.com or call 1-270-982-3343” he continued. Durbin also indicated his team will be hosting a number of events in the future so interested persons can learn more about the community. A sales office will also be set up soon for those interested in learning more about the services offered at RobinBrooke.
